  • 1979

    BCL entered the cosmetics business as a division of Sony Creative Products Inc. (now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Inc.), through a technological tie-up with the French company Stendhal.
    Began rolling out products to 18 department stores.

  • 1985

    Shizuoka Products Center established

  • 1996

    Business division broke off and became Sony CP Laboratories Inc. (headquartered in Ebisu, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) with the aim of further expanding its cosmetics business

  • 2001

    Headquarters moved to Shirokanedai, Minato-ku, Tokyo

  • 2001

    Cleansing Research product series containing AHA launched

  • 2003

    VECUA department store brand launched

  • 2004

    Restgenol skincare brand launched to target banded pores®

  • 2006

    Trade name changed to B&C Laboratories Inc.

    B&C Laboratories (China) Inc. established

    Merged with a new company called StylingLife Holdings Inc. to become StylingLife Holdings BCL Company
